Where should you install your gun safe?
Ideally, the gun safe or shotgun cabinet should be placed in a location that does not have direct access to the outside of your home. Do not install the gun cabinet in a garage, shed, or other outside building. This will improve safety and reduce the likelihood of an attack and theft. Ammunition should obviously not be stored close to any heat source.

Ensure your gun safe is not immediately visible and position it in a corner - this will ensure it is more difficult for it to be attacked by a thief.
